Career Path to Congress
Sheri Biggs was born on March 28, 1970, in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She graduated from Kosciusko High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministries from Carolina Bible College. Additionally, she obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Samford University.
Biggs is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner as well as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with a healthcare career that spans over three decades. Her experience includes serving as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator.

Biggs announced her candidacy for South Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District in January 2024, following the retirement of Congressman Jeff Duncan. She secured the Republican nomination after a runoff election against Mark Burns and won the general election in November 2024.
