President Joe Biden’s re-election prospects could suffer another major setback. Multiple sources, including the New York Times and Washington Post, are reporting that Virginia Senator Mark Warner is gathering a group of fellow Democratic Senators to ask President Biden to end his campaign and allow a new face to represent the party as the nominee.
The Post’s report comes one week after Biden’s performance at the first debate was roundly criticized by members of his own party, including major national media pundits and former campaign workers. Earlier today, Biden vowed to stay in the race, saying that he won’t let one bad night wouldn’t ruin three and a half years of his work. “I’m staying in this race. I’m not letting one 90-minute debate wipe out three-and-a-half years of work,” Biden said.
